We are new to Gig Harbor and started asking around about where to take our car for service. More than once we were told "Mackert Auto". Our experience was very positive! Friendly, professional, knowledgable staff and we were able to schedule our 60K service within a few days. We will definitely go back. Mackert was just what we were looking for!

I left my 2002 Jetta with them, and asked them to verify whether or not my timing belt had broken. They were able to confirm this for me without charging me a dime! They offered to perform a $100 "check-up" to determine how much it would cost to repair my car, but I declined, and decided to cut my losses and sell it for whatever I could get. They allowed me to keep the Jetta in their parking lot for 48 extra hours while I found a buyer. They didn't even complain! Great people here!

Their loyal following is not because of Groupon coupons, catchy advertising, bait and switch tactics but just trust. A great service at a fair price. Very happy with my service yesterday, they were busy but took my car in right away (I had an appointment) and finished in the appropriate amount of time. I do have to go back to have to have a problem taken care of but I know of Mackert's good reputation and did not question the procedure that needs to be done.
