Since I'm no mechanic, trust is the #1 issue for me. After having Mac Auto work on my car a few times over the years, I truly believe Howard has my best interest at heart. Communication has been solid, transparent, and no pressure. Pricing very reasonable. Really good guy to work with. He's in it for the long haul and has my support.

I was looking into buying a truck from Gig Harbor Motor Company (a review I'll post here in a second) and saw that this place was well reviewed on some other sites and went for it. All I was looking for was a pre-purchase inspection on the truck. I was informed on the phone that this was a free service, which made me happy. When I got there the staff was friendly and professional. I sat and waited while they inspected the truck and gave me the verdict; as promised, there was no charge. Sitting in the waiting room gave me a good perspective on their customer service. It seemed like everyone coming in was a repeat customer and was treated well. I took it as extra evidence that the shop was trustworthy. If they were closer to me I would use them for all of my auto maintenance. Unfortunately it's about an hour and fifteen minute drive. If I ever break down in Gig Harbor, though, I know where to go.

I am very satisfied with the experience at Mackert. Mackert now gets my business exclusively. Time will tell how well the repair will hold. I wish they weren't so expensive, but what mechanic isn't these days.

Probably the best automotive service you'll ever get. I needed $600 worth of work, and they found a $2000 problem. They stopped and talked to me about it, and I decided not to proceed. Saved me $600, basically.
